Wedding Bells!

The big news on Thanksgiving in our family was Eric's sister Kristina is getting married! We are so excited for her! Welcome to the family Andy! Kris asked me to be the matron of honor and Sam the ring bearer!

Thanksgiving

Here is Sam telling Eric he needs to get that bird in the oven! Notice the tv remotes for the football on the big screen nearby. (Can you see the second turkey in the background?)

I just set the table... (thanks to my sister in law for sharing her gorgeous Southern Living serving pieces). Oh yeah- and I host the family dance contest, but more on that later.

His best birthday yet!

It is so fun when they are old enough to really "get" what birthdays are all about. All he wanted was "my big train birthday". We agonized about having a big party-- but in the end, that is exactly what he got. It couldn't have been a more perfect day. We had fun, the parents seemed to be having fun- and all of his friends (with almost a 9 year age span) seemed to be having a blast. That is saying a lot when it comes to a 3 year old birthday party.

Goin' to my party...

Just as we were leaving for Sam's party- he said, "mom, need my glasses". "I don't know where they are Sam". "Mom, pease find them". So, I did. Here he is looking cool heading to the party- with his shades. Upside down. So cool.
