Friendships that stand the test of time

I came across this picture last month looking at our wedding album (10 years ago!). We look younger for sure... Our lives were a little simpler back then too! I'm so glad both of these girls are still among my dearest friends that I see and talk with every week! They are both celebrating birthdays this week so they have been on my mind. Happy birthday to both of you! Thank you for the blessing of your loyal, steadfast friendship!

A Modern Western Wedding?

These pictures are really for my sissy. She is going to do the flowers for a wedding coming up in a few weeks that is going to be beautiful! The bridesmaids are wearing apricot/coral dresses with brown cowboy boots. There are going to be a lot of "modern" country touches. I thought of you sissy when I saw these arrangements using ball mason jars. Please promise to post lots of pictures after the wedding of your gorgeous arrangements. I wish I wasn't going to have my hands full and could help you out that day- it sounds so fun!

Happy (late) Anniversary!

This year was a big one! 10 years have flown by and yet seem like an eternity at the same time. We have been incredibly blessed- and have grown as a couple and (literally) as a family.

Eric is more than a girl could ask for in a husband- he is a guy that gets things done, loves to have a project going, encourages me in my gifts, is a super helpful dad and a true spiritual leader. I respect him for his work ethic and having his priorities in life right. He serves others (often me!) without regard for his own needs. He has many close friends because they know his heart and that they will never have a more loyal friend. He loves to be with his family and relax in the great outdoors. He is an amazing example of what a real man is to our boys.

I love you sweetie- I'm blessed beyond measure to share my life with you! Happy Anniversary!

As a huge oak tree provides shelter and protection for all the living things that nest in its branches, a strong man provides security and comfort for every member of his family.

Wedding Flowers

Bridesmaids Bouquets- Pink Hydrangeas with green ribbons

Kris' Bouquet- (Ivory Roses from Bel Fiore Florist)

The centerpieces- limes with fern

Favors (monogrammed white chocolates from Aunt Pam)

Hurricanes with Hydrangeas (from mine and my parents' yard) used in the front of the church and again in the reception-

And last, but not least- Sam's fingerprint in the cake (which he touched immediately after entering the reception).
No one seemed to notice.

Some favorite pictures from the big day...

I'm so glad I had my camera- the photographer didn't take many shots with Sam other than a family and groom/groomsmen pose.

Both of the boys had colds this weekend. Sam's worst day was Saturday- he wasn't himself at all. But he hung in there and did better than I could have asked.

He did it!

Sam made it down the aisle- and through the ceremony! Above is a sneak peak- more wedding pictures coming soon (I've got over 200 to sort through!).

Sam's Suit

Shirt? Check. Tie? Check. Vest? Check. Pants and Jacket? Check. Check. Shoes and Socks? Double check again. Whew! Dressing a little boy for a wedding is way more complicated than a little girl! (I think maybe more expensive too!). My heart literally melted when he tried this on. With a little pink rose boutonniere, he is going to be darling! (And, unlike a flower girl, doing his hair on the day of the wedding will be a piece of cake! But keeping him clean is another story!).

Bridesmaid Dress...

Posted by popular demand...
Here is the pink dress I will be wearing this June (about 6 months pregnant). The pluses are it's a good color for me, it's not short and the empire waist will be good for my prego belly. Now for really good hair and a spray tan...I think I can pull this off!

Wedding Bells!

The big news on Thanksgiving in our family was Eric's sister Kristina is getting married! We are so excited for her! Welcome to the family Andy! Kris asked me to be the matron of honor and Sam the ring bearer!
