Five Fabrics...
Coordinating five pink fabrics has be tougher than I thought it would be for the baby's quilt. I have four, but it is the last one that has been hard to find what is just right. I decided to go with the fabrics all in the same collection so the shades of pink will be right- but I just can't decide on that fifth fabric.

We're Wallpapering!
Thanks for your comments! I decided on the last one, Princess Pink Damask. Wallpaper takes 2-3 weeks to come in...so now we are just waiting.
Wallpaper is back- but maybe in smaller doses than you might have grown up with... A couple of blogs I read have featured some gorgeous damask wallpapers- and I think this is just what our sweet baby nursery needs to make an impact! I'm only planning on doing one wall (behind the crib). Since the crib is white and the bedding is brown and white- it needs some contrast. Here are the three I've narrowed it down to...
Florence (cottage prints)- in pink (show in a room in green above)
Damask also by cottage prints (this is my favorite- but it is really cream, and I don't think it will work with the "true white" crib and bedding)

Princess (yes, as in DISNEY!) Pink Damask- This probably works the best- but the thought of doing Disney princesses already has turned me against it. However, have no fear, I have no intention of using the matching cinderella boarder!
I'm deciding today- so please, place your vote quick. I only will need 2-3 rolls and with free labor (thanks Dad!) this should be a reasonable project!

Bunk Beds!
These are the bunk beds I really liked for the boys.
But for about 700.00 less- we bought a set unfinished and painted them navy with $18 worth of paint. Most surprisingly- the boys are doing great in their beds! They are even sleeping in later in the morning and falling asleep faster at night. I think they love sharing a room and being together! Also, it speeds up our bedtime routine- only one "story time"! We are really surprised how well the transition has been and are hoping this isn't just a "bunk bed honeymoon"! And best of all- no one has fallen (or jumped!) out of bed so far.

Bye-Bye Baby Room
Last night I got a little sentimental about Ben's room so I grabbed my camera for a few pictures before we took everything down for the new paint going up later today. We bought bunk beds and painted them navy blue and they turned out great. So in just a few short nights Ben will be in a big boy bed!

IKEA finds...
For my birthday Eric took me shopping to Palo Alto. We hit IKEA with our "economic stimulus" cash to look for some of the big items that we need for our summer bedroom projects (AKA getting ready for baby #3).

This white slip covered chair is going in the boys room. We really wanted a comfy place to read stories- and this will be it! And at $29 for the slip cover- I can bleach it and even replace it if needed.
We found this dresser in the "damaged" furniture area marked down an addition $50. Best of all it was already assembled! It is in perfect condition and it seems surprisingly solid (not to mention heavy). Plenty of room for all those girl clothes plus a changing pad and lamp.
I picked up a couple of these large, fabric covered boxes in brown. For only 7.99 each, it's a great price for cute storage boxes. I'm planning to use them in the baby's room- maybe for toys or extra blankets. Right now I'm having fun filling them up with some of the darling girl things I've already received.

These glass votives were the ridiculously cheap find of the day- 12 for only 25 cents. They are just big enough for a tea light. I love the simple design and they come in a little tube perfect to store them in. I bought 12 packs (yes, 144). I still only spent $3.00 on these! Don't worry, I'm going to give these away- plus we will use them for the wedding next week.
I can't believe Eric got the chair and dresser to fit (packing is his gift!). Best of all- I feel this shopping was my patriotic duty! Thank you Mr. Bush!

Baby's Room
I still love this brown and white bedding that I used with Ben and I'm planning to use it again (but pairing it with pink instead of blue of course).Today the fabric came that I ordered from etsy- I love it even more in person. My mother-in-law is going to make a quilt for the baby and I'm planning to make curtain panels as well. Oh girl things are so fun!

Joel Dewberry Fabrics
I have a new love-

I especially love the Aviary collection in bloom (shades of pinks with a little brown). I think this is going to work its way into our new nursery for sure. You can check it out his lines here.

Inspiration- The Boy's New Room

I've been collecting photos of rooms that I love. We are getting ready this summer to move the boys in together. Since the bedrooms in our house are pretty small- we are shopping for bunk beds. I love the navy and red "Americana" theme. This will work with Sam's rug and quilt- and even his red shelves and night stand. And his drapes and lamp too. So I need to think about duvets and paint colors. I think I can pull this room together pretty easily. Now the question is- will we ever be able to get those two little monkeys to actually sleep together?
